Milwaukee to Minneapolis. For the most part I have had good experiences with Delta. Except this last time. My daughter has a peanut allergyand I made sure to tell the lady at the front desk before we boarded the plane. She even let me board early to clean my 3 year olds area to prevent any reaction to the peanuts. She also told me that I would have nothing to worry about and they wouldn’t serve peanuts on the plane. I even told the flight attendants as I got on the plane. But, as the flight attendants are coming by with snacks I over heard her ask the lady across from me if she wanted peanuts. I then asked her if she was serving them. She turned red and realized she messed up. Peanut allergies are very serious. She came back and told me they would give me a 25 dollar Visa card to come to my email for the inconvenience. I think it was totally not responsible of the entire staff working considering I told everyone before boarding the plane.

Actual service delivery from a hospitality perspective is limited from most staff members. There is a single female member of the crew that appears to have some personality, and there is a degree of showcasing for the bar product, some conversation, and importantly, a smile during the service. Other staff, are in reality entirely monosyllabic and the customer must push for extra dialogue or meal information. There are no added value factors of service such as meal quality checks that some of the better Asian and Middle Eastern carriers will apply, which would push service quality higher with minimal additional effort from the staff (and no cost to the airline). The most discouraging factor is the neutral body language and facial expressions which are felt quite strongly during this flight

This is the main reason that I travel from Delta airlines always. Be it any route. Its staff is so humble, friendly that it feels like home. They always prefer customers and stand up to their expectations. They tend to calm the panic struck passengers in case of emergency. Brownie points from my side to this wonderful airlines.
